Operation Bounce House Book Tour Interview with Matt Dinniman
We were invited to host Matt Dinniman on the Austin stop of his book tour for ‘Operation Bounce House’. The event was held at the First Baptist Church in downtown Austin on the evening of February 17th, 2026. We discussed the book, DCC, and took audience questions.

About Us
Hello Crawlers is hosted by three long-time friends and three long-time podcasters: Grant Davis, John Rubio, and Martin Thomas.
Grant Davis is a co-owner of @recordatx , a creative audio and video production studio in Austin, Texas. He’s also a longtime co-host of @thebeerists Podcast, a craft beer review show. He lives with his wife and two kids in Austin.
John Rubio is a professional art director and graphic designer, working with some of the biggest brands including many breweries on their branding and design. He is the host of @thebeerists Podcast, a long-running award-winning craft beer show based in Austin, Texas. And he is a massive fan and proselytizer for the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. He has 4 cats (none of which are named Donut, I think) and he makes a bunch of DCC art (we repurposed one into our logo)!
Martin Thomas is a graphic designer, illustrator, and co-host of the entertainment podcast @double_toasted . A former colorist for @marvel and @dcofficial , he brings his sharp humor and deep pop culture knowledge to the show. He also has never read the book series before so all this wackiness is new to him.
